رضى الله تعالى عنه
narrates that
رسول الله صلى الله تعالى عليه وسلم
said:

One who feeds a fasting person, to break his fast, receives reward similar to his (fasting person), without the reward of the fasting person, decreasing in any way

We are encouraged to feed a fasting person.
It creates love and unity amongst Muslims.
It also serves to assist a Muslim, in an act of obedience.
