Sayyiduna Aa’ishah رضى الله تعالى عنها narrates: Verily the Prophet صلى الله تعالى عليه وسلم used to perform I’tikaaf for the last ten days of Ramadhan, until ALLAH TA’ALA brought about his demise, thereafter his wives performed I’tikaaf, after him.

I’tikaaf is Sunnah for women also.
A woman confines herself to a specific place in her home and dedicates the time to acts of worship.
A married woman requires the consent of her husband.
Today being the blessed day of Friday, let us recite Surah Kahf and excessive salawaat/durood on Nabee صلى الله عليه وسلم.
