Sayyiduna Anas رضى الله تعالى عنه narrates: Verily the Messenger of Allah (peace be upon him) went to Hadhrat Sa’ad Ibn Ubadah (may Allah be pleased with him) Thus, he Hadhrat Sa’ad (may Allah be pleased with him) brought some bread and olives. Thereafter, the Messenger of Allah (peace be upon upon him) ate and supplicated: افطر عندكم الصائمون Af-ta-ra ‘In-da-ku-mus Saa-i-moon May those people who are fasting, break their fast, by you
و اكل طعامكم الأبرار Wa ‘a-ka-la Ta-‘aa-ma-ku’mul Ab-raar And may righteous people, eat your food
و صلت عليكم الملائكة Wa Sal-lat ‘A-lay-ku-mul Ma-laa-i-kah And may the Angels, supplicate for you
(Abu Dawood)
The fasting person should supplicate for the host.
May ALLAH TA’ALA reward you (host) the reward of feeding a fasting person.
Supplicate for good health, Aafiyah (well being), abundance of provisions, and the company of the pious.
Angels supplicate for the people of true faith (Imaan) and their Du’aas are readily accepted, which will mean, steadfastness on Imaan.
